Care Now privacy notice
Effective October 12, 2026 · Document notice version 2026-10-13
This notice explains how Care Now Marketplace handles account information, caregiver applications, and uploaded documents. Contact care@carelasvegas.org with privacy questions.
Information we collect and why
Accounts use your name, email address, password, account type, and email verification status. Passwords are stored as hashes. We use account and security records to sign you in, send account messages, and limit abuse.
Caregiver applications include your legal name, phone number, service area, experience, offered services, availability, rate, introduction, photo, and credentials. We use these details to review your application, verify identity and qualifications, and manage your profile.
Your ID, profile photo, and credentials
We request a government-issued photo ID to check your identity and compare its portrait with your profile photo. ID and credential uploads are private application records. They are not displayed to families or other caregivers. Through the platform, only you and authorized Care Now reviewers can access them.
Your approved profile may display your first name and last initial, profile photo, general service area, experience, services, availability, rate, and introduction. Keep your home address, ID numbers, and other private information out of your introduction.
Before each upload, you must acknowledge this notice. We record the notice version, account, document reference, and time. Private file views and downloads are also logged. Do not upload Social Security cards, bank details, or patient records.
A document upload authorizes application and identity review. It does not authorize a criminal background report. Any background screening requires a separate disclosure and authorization through the appropriate screening process. Photo comparison currently uses human review, not automated facial recognition.
Security and service providers
The platform uses HTTPS, encrypted database and file storage, and account access controls. Our hosting and email providers process information needed to operate the service. Authorized reviewers should use private devices and avoid making unnecessary copies. No online system can eliminate every security risk.
Session cookies keep you signed in. Security services may process network and device information to protect the website. Credential uploads are not used for advertising or displayed publicly.
Review, correction, and deletion requests
You can edit your application and remove uploaded documents while it is in draft or returned for changes. Submitted applications are locked for review. For corrections, withdrawal, access, or deletion requests, email care@carelasvegas.org from your account email. Do not attach an ID or include your password in that email.
We verify the requester before acting. Record retention depends on application review, safety investigations, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. Some records may need to be retained after a request. Removed files are no longer available through your account, and service-provider backups may follow a separate retention cycle.
Changes and security concerns
We will update the effective date when this notice changes. A new document notice version requires acknowledgment on future uploads. Report suspected account misuse or document exposure to care@carelasvegas.org or call (702) 350-6300.
